All members of Association of Rink Rats and Outreach Warriors, “ARROW”, must be of age 18 or older at time of payment of membership and league dues.
Membership shall not be denied based on identification of gender, sexual orientation, ability, age, background, religion, and belief.
All members of ARROW must have an active and valid registration with USA Hockey and provide their registration number at time of application. Upon renewal of USA Hockey membership, an updated number must be supplied to ARROW.
Membership is only granted upon receipt of membership dues and signing of an ARROW Waiver of Liability.
Payment of dues is required to obtain and retain membership to ARROW, pursuant to § 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Payment of dues shall obtain or retain membership for twelve (12) months, unless otherwise revoked by either party, in accordance with Section 1.03. An amount equal to the membership dues, at time of payment, shall be deducted from all other league fees so that no additional cost is incurred by the applicant. If no league fees are required by the applicant, the membership dues will be the only cost incurred.
At any time, and without notice, membership to ARROW may be revoked by both the ARROW Board and ARROW member alike.
Upon the revocation of membership, all access to ARROW games as a participant, meetings, functions and activities of ARROW, including league meetings, shall be denied effective immediately unless otherwise noted by the Board. The revocation of voting rights is effective immediately.
An ARROW member may revoke their membership at any time by providing notice to an ARROW Director. The person may reapply for membership when ARROW is next receiving membership dues and shall be reinstated with full rights of an ARROW member upon payment of membership dues, in accordance with the previous section.
The Board may revoke membership at any time, with a simple majority vote, for any reason it deems appropriate. The following reasons will trigger an immediate suspension of membership pending review by the Board:
If membership is revoked by the Board, a formal written request may be submitted to the Board after a minimum of twelve (12) months have elapsed since the revocation. Upon receipt of the request, the request will be reviewed by the Board within 30 days.
Unanimous approval of the Board is required for reinstatement. If the Board denies reinstatement, written notice will be provided to the applicant. Application for reinstatement is prohibited for a minimum of twelve (12) months from the date of denial. If the Board approves the reinstatement, eligibility is valid when ARROW is next receiving membership dues and the player shall be reinstated with full rights of an ARROW member upon payment of membership dues, in accordance with the Membership Dues section above.
The Board has the authority to prohibit any application for reinstatement, in perpetuity, for an individual upon a separate vote called by a Director. This vote must be unanimous and will retain its effect despite change in Directors. Removal of this ban must be called by a sitting Director after a minimum of twenty-four (24) months and must be a unanimous vote. Upon removal of the ban, request for reinstatement must still be submitted by the individual pursuant to this rule.
